Business Manager - HigherEdJobs

Job Summary/Basic Function: Provides professional level coordination of business affairs of a large department. Oversees the performance of duties in the areas of budget, finance, policy development, project management, or consultation for Facilities Services and Facilities Planning departments. Supervises and plans for Facilities Operations staff. Responsible for the day to day operations of Facilities Operation and Planning office operations which includes, but not limited to, office budget, complaints, and office administration.

Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.

Oversees, monitors, analyzes operational data and makes program decisions based on findings.

Develops, monitors, and maintains budget and/or financial records for departments.

Coordinates all business management functions of a unit, program or facility.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the university rules, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of computer equipment and information systems; knowledge of business and financial management practices. Effective communication, time organizational skills. Ability to supervise and direct work of others.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related area with 5-10 years work experience including at least one year of supervisory experience. Related experience may be substituted for education on a year to year basis.
